Amyloid \u03b2-protein (\u00a0A\u03b2) is derived from the hydrolysis of \u03b2-amyloid precursor protein(APP).In normal human body, A\u03b2\u00a0is a\u00a0soluble neuronal metabolite that plays a\u00a0neuromodulatory role in synaptic plasticity, memory and neurotransmitter release. The most common isoforms of A\u03b2\u00a0in vivo are\u00a0A\u03b2(1-40)\u00a0and A\u03b2(1-42).<\/p>\n
